Nudaurelia eblis is one of the largest members of the African Nudaurelia genus. The males can reach a wingspan up to sixteen centimeter. The females are usually a little bit smaller, but still quite impressive. This species occurs in West and Central Africa from Sierra Leone to West Kenya and south throughout Cameroon and Congo to Gabon and Tanzania. Eblis is not a species that broods continuously. In fact, it can take months before the moths finally emerge.
