The Pink Spirit Moth (Actias rhodopneuma) will brood continuously when kept warm, but can overwinter as cocoons when stored very cool (but frost free) and somewhat drier. When you overwinter them you have to spray once every few weeks to prevent the pupae from drying out. As I had no intention of continuing this brood I'm just letting them hatch. This beautiful species from India, southern China, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand has a wingspan between eleven and thirteen centimeters.
