There's not much to tell about this Central American Lappet species. On the BOLD Systems website you can find records from Honduras, Costa Rica and Ecuador. The moths in the pictures below originate from Guatemala, so most likely they occur throughout most of Central America from (probably) southern Mexico to the Northwest of South America. This is a fairly large Lappet, the large females have a wingspan of eight/nine centimeter. The males are smaller. Going through all the records I could find, there seem to be two flights in the wild from January to April with a peak in February and a second flight from late June to August with most records in July.
