Lots of moth pictures today. That should give you an idea on how rare this opportunity was. Small species like this Quentalia are often overlooked or discarded as uninteresting. It's a shame. There are plenty of super interesting species in the Apatelodidae family. This may even be an undescribed one. A friend of mine is still working on the identification. Haha, yes, I only breed these creatures. All the boring stuff like research and all that, is for the entomologists. I only do the fun part. As I don't even know yet what species this is, I can't give you a distribution. The Quentalia genus is South American. This species occurs in Colombia (that's where the eggs came from), but may of course also fly in neighboring countries. Just to give you an idea on the size: the males fit almost entirely on my thumb nail.
